Ric Edinberg blends experiences in design research and planning with training in the fine arts. He holds a Master’s from the Institute of Design in Human Centered Product Design and a B.A. in Sculpture from the Art Institute of Chicago. These experiences enable him to integrate his finely honed design sensibilities with real life business challenges.
Ric now works on domestic and international projects that apply research methods to developing new products, services and strategies. He says, “It’s not that I try to think outside the box, it’s that I’ve never felt I was inside a box. It’s this perspective that makes me love working with Brandtrust so much, because we suspend our preconceptions, approach each challenge with a beginner’s mind, and look deep within a problem to find the solution that will best address unmet consumer needs. Not a box in sight.”
At Brandtrust, Ric has worked on PowerBar, Nestlé, and Quaker Oats, among others. At home, he is the proud father of a little girl, and he and his wife are excitedly awaiting another addition to the family. Ric loves to run when it’s thunderstorming, even though he knows he shouldn’t. He used to read novels and poetry, but now he reads reports, articles and bedtime stories.
